[Now called VersaCut] This 3/8″ pitch chain features easy to maintain, low-vibration, semi-chisel cutters that work fast. These cutters are designed to be more tolerant of sharpening errors than chisel cutters. This is a good old fashioned semi chisel – rather than the more modern micro chisel. It’ll cut a fraction slower but it will be more tolerant of grit and nasty stuff as well as being easier to sharpen. Try some if you haven’t before!

Good Allrounder

I use this semi chisel chain type for both cross-cutting and milling . The board surface is pretty good and only needs a couple of passes with a planer to clean it up. Most of my timber is used for woodturning so this is pretty much the perfect chain for blank preparation . Not the fastest cut but the edge is more robust than chisel chain for blank.

Missed the detail

I missed the detail that these weren’t 73LPX chains which is what I usually run. Though in the end it may have been a good thing as they survived encounters with nails better than a full chisel chain.
